The majority of the garden soon becomes frozen in the deep-freezer for the winter-consumption.

With so many eggs available, it's easy to get sick of them at times.

There are 13 hens and if each lay an egg a day I should be able to add them to the marketplace or offer them freely to the general public. But as it turns out, a certain group passed a certain slew of laws that make this completely illegal without jumping through a slew of paperwork and passing hygiene inspections and all in the name of keeping us safe from the egg-monsters that kill 2 people per year (and blah blah blah).

Instead, the law-makers set us all up for a neo-potential liability should someone claim to have become sick from a free egg, even though the happenstance sickness (whether real or created) had nothing to do with the egg. All it takes to get the steam-roller of our neo-corpo-government rolling is to have one or two claims made by competition against the free egg-giver. The courts will eat you and your eggs later.

One great contraption.

Thermal mass is a re-usable energy-bank.

The log will burn and the heat will be absorbed into the concrete (and earth beneath the slab).

This log probably burned for at least several hours before being reduced to coal embers.

Everything is done with this!

The stove is a distiller, cooker, dryer, heater, great ash-creator...

Before you die, try a cast-iron or whatever this thing is made of, and place it FLAT on the concrete slab in your garage or basement.

You will finish with a "wow" after your first burn. Thermal mass offers a residual heat that emanates from the concrete beneath your feet, up through your legs. Most people entering the garage say the same thing during the winter's coldness, "Wow it feels great in HERE!".

Don't quote me on this because I'm slightly mental, but I think there's a psychological connection between thermal mass heat.

For instance, after working out in the snow plowing or whatever, if needing to warm up quickly, between going into the house where my mom uses conventional heating and garage's thermal-mass heating, it's no contest.
