I and my mother had made three separate trips to the vendor's large stock yard to inspect their brick and rock selections. On the third visit we made our order and paid the amount quoted to us, $1,299.69.
*It should be noted that in less than a week of our previous visit, apparently their prices for delivery went up despite the fact that we have the vendor associate's handwriting quoting a lower price than what was charged (which is not what we are disputing here but is mentioned for history's sake).
Here are some points:
1.) Overcharged for delivery of products ordered
2.) Charged almost $30.00 for a busted junky pallet which I wish they would remove from our property (we have enough junk here already, thank you)
3.) Received a wrong product
4.) Was told over the phone on Friday, August 4 that the representative would be arriving in the morning, but resulted in a no-show
5.) At approx 3pm I called the number on the Bryce Hill card that was given to us at the time of the purchase and inquired as to whether or not anyone would be still arriving here, however the agent, Bob Carr, stated he knew nothing about the order and informed me that I must call the following day and ask for another agent named Chris.
Rock being delivered

The rock we thought we ordered had colorful blues in the center similar to this rock. Although it is not exactly the same product, It is similar to what I thought we ordered.
Ignore the smeared gray mortar that is seen at the top of the rock and also ignore the white drag marks.
And now for the good news!
Tony Mercer, one of the Bryce Hill Representatives, arrived and his very presence was enough to quell all discontents. He was personable, down to earth, informative and even educated us on what we might do to gain an advantage in the purchase from the Bryce Hill Stock Yard if we should have need of more rock in the future.
In fact, Bryce Hill's Tony Mercer made clear that we are free to bring back any product that we don't use or don't like and that we are not penalized for a refund or exchange. We can only hope that this new company that bought out Bryce Hill does not disregard the value of exceptional customer service.
Whereas just yesterday I had vowed to never purchase from the Smyrna company that bought out Bryce Hill, following Tony's visit I'm actually looking forward to the next purchase there!
