The following are instructions as per the Annke website:

"If you forgot your system.'s password, please provide the following 3 information to support@annke.com, or please (https://help.annke.com/hc/en-us/requests/new) submit a request from the help center with the required information."

"And then we will generate the security code for you to reset your system.'s password in 24 hours."

Sounds easy enough, right?

Annke's website goes on to state:

"Here are the steps for you:"

"1. Send us a clear picture of the white label at the bottom of the device."


"2. Send us a picture of the system. date on TV or monitor."


"3. Send us a picture of the long serial number on the Reset Password window."

NO SUCH MEANS OF OBTAINING THAT SERIAL NUMBER WORKS WITH THE DT81DP MODEL !

The article goes on to express knowledge that Annke is aware of the inability to obtain said serial number as per their website instructions, and offer the following "help" advice.

"If the system. doesn‘t pop up the serial number and pop up a date, please send us to picture like below. Please send it to the technical support:"

This leads to another dead-end. The photo shows a completely different type of software dashboard and there is absolutely no possible way to duplicate the requested function.

Annke goes on to say:

"After we get all the information, we will provide you the security codes to reset the admin password for the system.."

" If you can't get the long serial No or the pop-up date, please refer to the below instruction to export a password file via the SADPTool and send it to the technical support"

And of course, this is a dead-end because I am not in a position to go out and purchase a Windows computer to accomplish this. And for that matter, the subsequent tool requires that the DVR be relocated to an area that has internet access for Annke to remotely access the security footage and system..
