Refurbishing an old wooden bench

It's time to recycle that old aging bench

Wood had decayed beyond repair.

Mom Stains Seen in the photo are a visible knot in the bottom wooden slat. As it turned out, two pieces of replacement wooden slats required twice being replaced due to bad wood. Failed replacement of wooden slats When purchasing your new wood, be attentive to any bows, fallen-out knots, splitting at the ends, and anything else that might hinder the successful replacement.
