This phase was mom's department. She handled cleaning and painting the wrought iron as well as the priming and staining of the wooden slats.
Mom delivers hot food, too!
Seen in the photo are a visible knot in the bottom wooden slat. As it turned out, two pieces of replacement wooden slats required twice being replaced due to bad wood. 
When purchasing your new wood, be attentive to any bows, fallen-out knots, splitting at the ends, and anything else that might hinder the successful replacement.

The darker areas located within the upper-left portion of the back wall was just completed and therefore not cured yet. It will lighten overnight to match the surrounding colors. This section shows images of the first phase of our patio installation completed in 2024.
